What your astrology sign says about you as a WKU student

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

The Aries is considered the most active of the signs, but they don’t have to work out at Preston Center to prove it. Somehow their classes always end up located in Cherry Hall, and with that comes tackling the strenuous climb uphill on the daily. The Aries WKU student is most likely to develop strong calf muscles from conquering the Hill.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

The Taurus is the epitome of a great worker — they’re dependable, good-natured and diligent. But more than this, they aren’t down for the student debt. The Taurus student at WKU has worked many on-campus jobs and will still jump at any student employment opportunities.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

The Gemini’s energy is typically upbeat. But as a busy college student, there isn’t always much time for sleep. The Gemini student’s morning is dominated by their need to fuel their outgoing energy with caffeine. They’re the type of student who would walk into class late with Starbucks.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

The Cancer is nurturing and sensitive to the needs of others. Cancers are appreciated for their generous nature, particularly by their friends. The Cancer student is the friend who has meal swipes to spare by the end of the week and offers them up to those in dire need of whatever they can get for a swipe on a Sunday.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

The Leo is a fire sign, meaning they are fiery and spirited. This, of course, includes school spirit. The majority of their closet contains merchandise from the WKU Store, and they take a photo with Big Red whenever he makes an appearance. You can find a Leo showing out on game days in their red and white attire, waving their towels in the air while shouting along to the fight song.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

The Virgo is organized and driven, meaning they are the studious icons all procrastinating WKU students wish they could be. They can be found anywhere on campus studying, resembling a student on the cover of a college brochure. The Virgo student will find every untouched corner of every floor in Raymond Cravens Library to study in.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

The Libra is the social butterfly of the zodiac signs and likely floats between social circles. You can catch the Libra “making an appearance” at just about every social event occurring on a Saturday night but never staying for long. They cycle through a few parties, get doughnuts at Great American Donut Shop and are in bed before the break of dawn.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

The Scorpio is the most secretive of the signs, so forgive us for being highly suspicious of them. Scorpio, you may have been able to hide it from your friends, but not from us. We know you’re secretly Big Red. The red tennis shoes you “bought because you liked” and your enigmatic persona aren’t fooling anybody. Consider the mystery of WKU’s mascot solved.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

The Sagittarius is the adventurer with an enthusiasm for gaining new experiences, which either means they’re a WKU student who is currently studying abroad or they’re planning on it. Either way, their thrill-seeking nature can’t tie them down to Bowling Green for long.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

The Capricorn is the busy bee of the zodiac. A rare combination of traits for a college student, they are responsible, committed and hardworking. We don’t know how they do it, but they take on leadership positions, organization memberships and extra credit hours. Somehow, they still have time to eat, sleep and meet up with friends as well. Keep up the good work, Capricorn. We could definitely take some tips from you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

The Aquarius is independent, eccentric and inventive. However, their love of learning doesn’t always extend itself to the classroom. Because they’re so caught up in their interests and ideas, they can get a little sidetracked. When their responsibilities do catch up to them, you can find them in their dorm’s study room at 2 a.m. cranking out a paper that’s due in a few hours.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

The Pisces is not only patient and cooperative with other people but also with their own eating habits. Most WKU students will tell you it’s not worth it to wait through the Chick-fil-A line, which somehow always seems long. While the never-ending wait is intimidating to some, the Pisces doesn’t mind. They would wait any epic amount of time if it meant they would eventually receive those chicken nuggets with Chick-fil-A sauce.
