Beads, bangles and bright beginnings at Beadiful Stacks & Charmery’s grand opening

Beadiful Stacks & Charmery, Bowling Green’s newest jewelry shop, officially opened its  storefront for business on Saturday, Sept. 6.

The jewelry shop includes a custom charm bar, as well as an array of pre-made and affordable bracelets and necklaces. Brianna Wood, the owner of the small business, said she began as a mother making crafts with her daughter.

“She would make bracelets all the time,” Wood said. “I got into it with her.”

In the city of Woodburn, Wood said her and her 9-year-old daughter launched business from a small neighborhood lemonade stand. Wood also said that all the customers suggested she expand her brand.

“We almost sold out that day,” Wood said. “We haven’t stopped since then.”

Wood said the feedback from the stand also sparked an idea in her. Four years later, Wood said she turned what started as a lemonade stand in a small town into the grand opening of her first storefront.

Additionally, the store contains a custom charm bar, where customers can make their own bracelets using colorful charms suited for several styles. Attendees who weren’t interested in the creation process could also bring the charms to Wood for her to craft their visualized piece.

Brianna Gibson, a customer who attended the grand opening, said via text that she purchased many things.

“I love that I can wear her jewelry when I’m getting dressed up or even when I’m wearing something casual,” Gibson said via text.

In the back, there were chairs and tables with enough space for new customers to sit and take their time when creating their jewelry. Customers were able to see what the jewelry would look like in the mirrors.

Others uninterested in creating their own bracelets and necklaces sorted through the catalog of pre-made jewelry. The shop included options of plated jewelry, as well as gold-filled and sterling silver.

Wood also said that they serve everyone from children and teenagers to the elderly.

“We have services for every single age,” Wood said. “The older ones love the silver jewelry, that’s what they come for.”

Wood said that her goal through opening the business is to have affordable options for all who are interested.

“I want every single girl who comes in here, no matter what their salary is or what their parents make, to be able to buy something and feel pretty,” Wood said. “And we have made that possible.”

Wood said that the business has grown over the past four years from starting with just beaded jewelry.

“The charm bar was only added less than two years ago,” Wood said.

Wood said she also hopes to continue incorporating new and creative ideas into the shop, as well as her clientele.

“I just want to grow,” Wood said. “I’m sure some people have never even heard of Beadiful Stacks.”

Wood also said she focused on making the shop eye-catching.

“This building is very easy to look over,” Wood said. “Pink and orange are in right now, and I wanted it to pop; it’ll catch your eye now.”

Gibson said via text that upon walking into the shop, she thought it was cute.

“I love all the pink and orange,” Gibson said via text. “I think she will definitely attract customers.”

Another customer who attended the grand opening, Ashley Phillips said via text that the owner successfully made it pop.

“It was super cute and inviting,” Phillips said via text. “I have a few of their pieces already and love them and so I had to get more.”

With the successful opening event, Wood also said she doesn’t want to leave her original inspiration of the business, her daughter, unseen.

“She’s the reason we’re an actual business,” Wood said. “She’s the reason behind all of it.”
