The one piece revival

One-piece swimsuits are back, and boy have we missed them.

The popularity of the one-piece swimsuit dates back to the late 1980s when “Baywatch” premiered on TV. Viewers would tune in each week to see Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff run down the beach in slow motion in their iconic lifeguarding attire. Sadly, the “Baywatch” era ended in 2001, and the one piece basically died with it.

However, everything in fashion comes back into style eventually, and the same is true for these swimsuits. They’ve slowly made their way back into popularity thanks to celebrities like Taylor Swift, Gigi Hadid and Kim Kardashian.

Look in your mom’s closet and steal that high-leg one piece she has been hoarding since the 80s or 90s. You’ll be best dressed at the beach this summer.
