The SOKY Book Fest brings thousands of readers from all over the state and beyond to Bowling Green every year. During the book fest, attendees mill around a banquet hall at the Knicely Conference Center, which is filled with authors’ tables stacked high with books of all genres, ranging from children’s picture books to adult non-fiction.
On Friday, April 20, we attended Children’s Day, where elementary school kids are bussed in from surrounding communities to take part in author panels and workshops and to meet their favorite authors. We spoke with these kids about some of their favorite literature; you won’t want to miss out on what they had to say.
