It’s beginning to look a lot like finals week

Ah, finals week. The time of the year when all you want is to curl up in bed and watch holiday movies, but instead, you are forced to stay up until 4 a.m. studying for a biology test.

Here at the Talisman, we’ve decided to celebrate the strange dichotomy between holiday cheer and finals stress. So have a bit of both with this finals-filled version of “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.” Feel free to sing along.

It’s beginning to look a lot like finals week,

Everywhere you go.

Take a look at the bloodshot eyes,

The despair in their moans and cries,

The students who can’t help but feel so low.

It’s beginning to look a lot like finals week,

Sorrow takes the stage.

But the ugliest sight to see is the gra-ade that will be

On your own test page.

Maybe a “B” on the test could work out the rest,

That’s the wish of Barney and Ben.

A “C” that will pass to just get out of this class

Is the hope of Janice and Jen.

Mom and Dad can hardly believe they’re paying for this again.

Oh it’s beginning to look a lot like finals week

Everywhere you go.

There’s sleep deprivation in sight,

Students giving up the fight,

The last minute papers that make you scream “NO!”

It’s beginning to look a lot like finals week,

Soon it will be done.

And then sleep will once more resume, and you’ll shake off the gloom,

And get back to fun.

Oh, it’s beginning to look a lot like finals week

Soon there’ll be no more doom.

But the prettiest sight to see is the warm bed that’ll be

In your own dorm room.
